Gustimania #1

18.2.2009 3.30 pm

Assalamualaikum and hello to all who actually read this blog. This is actually my second blog after EyELeSS. This particular blog is dedicated to express my own opinion on professional wrestling, an interest of me for the past 10 years. Professional wrestling or sports entertainment, as it has been called this day, has a very special place in my heart.

I started to watch wrestling at the age of six, believe it or not. At that time, one of the TV station here, TV1 showed the syndicated show of WCW that features highlight of Monday Night Nitro and many other stuff. One of the fond memories that I have during that time is when Sting actually glide from the roof of the arena and saved guys like Dean Malenko from the attack of the nWo. He actually brought the house down at that night.

At the age of 11, I started to fall in love with wrestling again, thanks to WWF Superstars, the syndicated show that features mainly squash matches and also highlights from Monday Night Raw. I started to watch the program during the start of the war between the Corporation and the Undertaker-led Ministry of Darkness. It was also when the Hardy Boyz was just jobbers at that time and also when some guy who flips the bird, drink beers and bald, kicking @$$ left and right. It was also when there was one particular guy who electrified the audience with his charisma, tons of catchphrases and has the most electrifying move in sports entertainment. To those who were still clueless to whom I speak about, they are none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock.

As you may probably predict by now, I am a huge fan during the WWF Attitude Era. That was the period where all the storylines were very solid and also when the matches were very good actually. I am still a fan of wrestling these days, but not as I was back in the day. These days, I watch WWE Raw and also ECW on channel 811 Astro, and WWE Smackdown on channel TV3 (which is actually a delayed program, nearly three weeks).

As I said earlier, this blog will be dedicated for me to write about wrestling, mainly reactions to events that have happened in the world of wrestling. And also predictions for the coming PPV events. I will not write much about TNA because I do not have access to watch TNA programming here in Malaysia. I will mainly write about the WWE.

Till then, Ciao.
